Veteran comedian Sir Ken Dodd has died just 2 days after marrying his partner of 40 years – Anne Jones.
The 90 year-old’s publicist confirmed he passed away yesterday at the home in Liverpool where he was born.
Robert Holmes led tributes, calling him a “comedy legend and genius”.
Sir Ken had left hospital a fortnight ago following a chest infection.
Fellow comics have paid tribute to Ken Dodd: Dara O Briain says he “was an education to watch”, while Gary Delaney called him “one of the all time greats”.
