Police have released an image of a man they want to talk to after a Subway store was robbed in broad daylight.
At around 10.15am on Sunday 26 February, police were called to the Subway branch on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield to reports that a man had entered the store and demanded the lone female member of staff opened the till.
The staff member was left terrified as the man became increasingly aggressive then stole the contents of the till.
The man was described as black, early to mid-50s, around 6ft tall and of average build with grey stubble. He spoke with a local accent.
Detective Constable Chris Henderson from GMP’s City of Manchester Division said: “The staff member was left terrified after this incident. The man stole the contents of the till and also tried to get into the safe.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man in this picture or who may have witnessed the incident.
This will assist us greatly in preventing him from committing further offences”.
