Police are investigating after a taxi driver was approached at a Manchester Airport hotel car park and duped out of his life savings in a bogus jewellery con.

The victim was promised £6,000-worth of items if he helped ‘release’ jewellery worth a supposed £47,000 with a £15,500 ‘deposit’.
