A crowdfunding campaign has raised more the £25,000 in just 10 days to fund treatment for two terminally ill siblings from Poynton.

Ollie Carroll who is eight, and his sister Amelia who’s six, suffer a rare genetic condition called late infantile Batten disease, which affects four to five children in the UK each year.

Over time, sufferers lose their ability to walk, talk and swallow, and experience seizures, dementia and sight loss, while life expectancy is between just six and 12.
