Local lad Josh Harrop could well be picked for a place in Manchester United’s first squad for the last day of the Premier League with José Mourinho set to make changes ahead of the Europa League final with Ajax taking place on Wednesday 24th May in Stockholm.
21 year old Josh scored a fantastic hat-trick for United’s under 23 reserves in the game against Tottenham at Old Trafford. The match finished 3-2 thanks to Josh having a keen eye for the back of the net; he could now be handed a spot on the bench as Mourinho looks to rest a lot of his regular players against Crystal Palace.
In the 2-2 draw at Arsenal last week he scored one and set up the another and is top scorer and on double figures for Nicky Butt’s team this season.
United manager Jose was at Old Trafford to watch the under 23’s play Spurs and is looking to rest his first-choice players, giving Harrop a chance to play against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
We’ve had 4 local lads from the Blossoms at the Brits earlier this year, whom competed with the likes of Rag’N’Bone man & Stormzy – and now we have Josh Harrop who could be competing with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez & Diego Costa; if he makes the top flight! Best of luck Josh!
Pictured below is Harrop’s adorable tweet about his mother.
