Cheshire Constabulary says it’s working with partners as part of an ongoing campaign to tackle knife crime.

The force says Cheshire still has one of the lowest rates of knife crime in the country, but the county has seen an increase in violent offending which is part of a national trend.

Officers will be out on patrol using stop and search powers to target those suspected of carrying a knife. They’ll also be taking part in other activities including also visiting schools to talk to pupils.
