BEAUTY COLUMN JULY
Ever wondered where the phrase; "bad hair day" came from? One of the most popular phrases to be uttered by women all over the world was actually coined by the world's most respected authority on hair and scalp health; Philip Kingsley.
A career as a trichologist spanning an amazing 55 years, has taken him all over the world, boasting many illustrious clients which include royalty, politicians and film stars. In 1997 he created Philip Kingsley Products, the first trichology driven hair and scalp care range.
The range includes products such as; 'No Scent No Colour' - a shampoo and conditioner originally designed for women undergoing cancer treatment and also suitable for sensitive scalps and small children, 'Swimcap' which helps protect the hair against the effects of chlorine, and their hero product; 'Elasticizer' which was famously created for Audrey Hepburn and is the world's first moisturising treatment applied to hair before shampooing and a unique intensive protective treatment.
For the first lucky 50 Imagine listeners to come into store onto the Beauty Brands Dept, we have trial-sized Elasticizers to give away on production of this article.
This month's column is all about holiday hair and nails and some of the fabulous products we have here at John Lewis Cheadle to deal with all your concerns - from frizzy hair to split nails there is a product that will come to the rescue!
