If you had to choose one of the worlds most in-inform, in-demand, well-respected and musically exceptional musical outfits & DJ's, you could not go wrong as to choose Luciano & his vision; Cadenza.
Along with his forward thinking Cadenza imprint, the self-made music powerhouse has over the last few years captured the imagination of a new generation of house music lovers. And it's as simple as that; Luciano plays across the board but running through his sets like a powerful lay line is the unmistakable narrative of true house. Luciano knows how to work crowds like a master, and weave together everything from ocean deep house grooves through to spine tingling Detroit'esque rhythm's to spectacular effect, with an ease that would scare most DJ's.
Luciano has placed the world of house and techno lovers under his spell, never failing to give spectacular performances every time he plays, as he proved at his last Warehouse Project appearance.
This time once again was no exception and as usual Luciano had the hundreds of clubbers who had flocked from all areas of the country bouncing to his trademark South American influenced house and techno!
Now if you have never been to Warehouse project before then I can certainly recommend it!! From the biggest of international names playing to the most stylish of ravers who attend, it certainly always gets a 10/10.

The Mighty Warehouse Project Returns!!
Now for all of you fashionably fiendish music lovers, the return of the mighty Warehouse Project beneath Piccadilly train station.
Almost 60,000 stylishly cool party goers flock from around the country to take part in these seriously stylish nights.
The range of artists presented is quite frankly staggering and their presence in the sub-Piccadilly space just seems to grow in atmosphere every year. Make no mistake, The Warehouse Project is something very special.
One of the most awaited events was the return of the Frankfurt established super label, Cocoon, which was back hosting its fourth party at the WHP. Created by superstar entrepreneur DJ Sven Väth back in 2000 and boasting some of the industry's biggest producers on their roster, the business has consistently grown from strength to strength each and every year, pushing the techno sound to wider and wider audiences around the globe.
Ticket touts, knowing that there was money to be made from one of the biggest events to be held this season at the WHP, were everywhere, asking in vain for any spare tickets, which had by this point become a valuable possession to own, as some tickets were fetching up to as much as £70!
All this hype is well earned praise to the organisers of the Warehouse Project, who have firmly established the seasonal event as one of the UK's most famous clubber destinations.
The line-up for Cocoon reflected the current fashion of the scene. The big tech-house names of Loco Dice and Minilogue, who's productions have been dominating dance floors around the UK for the past 12 months were certainly crowd magnets. Also, the legendary house spinner DJ Sneak, along with Onur Ozer and Zip, all indicated that the night was set to be good at the worst.
In true Warehouse style the place was packed, the tunes were pumping and the atmosphere was electric and everything that was expected from the evening was fulfilled and then some!!!
Have a look at the pictures below to see some of the fantastically stylish clubbers that make up the Warehouse Project clientele...

Get Made Up With MAC
Girls, it's time to leave your dried up mascaras and cracked bronzers at the bottom of those dusty make up bags and hot foot it down to the MAC counter at Selfridges.
Now being a girl who never misses out on a chance to get beautified and having a night out coming up where I needed to look amazing, I booked myself and 3 friends in for an appointment to test out the brush skills of the MAC girls.
I must admit, at first I was rather pensive and had images in my head of leaving the store more drag queen than beauty queen but in the end I was more than pleasantly surprised.
The make up was fantastic, and the extra embellishment of the false eyelashes really added the final finishing touch. Not only that, the makeup actually survived 8 hours of dancing and when I left I was still fresh faced and intact rather than having accumulated the usual panda eyes courtesy of cheap mascaras.
In addition to make up for special occasions, MAC also offer make up lessons where they will do one half of your face and teach you how to do the other.
This is something that I can highly recommend for all the girls out there who may not yet be masters of the make up brush as the tips and information you pick up are invaluable.
All in all, it was a great service and a great thing to do with the girls before a night out..the days of the crusty lipsticks and half broken eyeliners can be a thing of the past!!
If you would like to book an appointment with MAC then please contact 0161 838 0646 or follow the link below to find your nearest store.

Yvonne Gillon has a boutique in Marple designing bespoke couture for customers (celebrities amongst them!) and joined us to talk about her new product Cami Confidential.
Yvonne explained why she is appealing for breast cancer survivors to come forward and contact her,
"I want to raise breast awareness but also provide encouragement to women and demonstrate that you can maintain your femininity, elegance and confidence despite having a mastectomy. Those who have survived breast cancer are the perfect models to promote this and I hope will inspire thousands of others who have breast cancer in Britain."
As a designer, Yvonne has come into contact with many women suffering from breast cancer.
"One particular lady, Lyn, was the inspiration for Cami Confidential," said Yvonne. "I was designing an outfit for her daughter's wedding when she told me of her dilemma - she had just had a mastectomy and was feeling quite vulnerable. She had been invited to a celebration dinner and her main worry was that when she leant forward, others would see her scar. Wherever she shopped, everything was either too low, too wide or too baggy so from this I designed Cami Confidential, a lightweight stretch lace, double fabric top, which fits over a bra. It is different to other tops in that it hugs the chest and won't fall away when you bend forward. It is also close cut to the armhole and softly elasticated for comfort which I've been told is a great advantage as most bras or vests are too low under the arm. In fact, we have just launched our website www.camiconfidential.com which provides information about our exciting new product."
Lyn has been wowed by the design..
"Cami Confidential is amazing. It is very feminine with a scalloped neckline which doesn't move during wear and gives me the confidence which I had previously lost. It's taken all the stress out of shopping and not only is it a great addition to any wardrobe, in fact, it's a wardrobe essential for all women!"
Many of Yvonne's Collections have been inspired by clients visiting her studio simply because they cannot find what they want on the high street..
"As with many of my designs, my inspiration was born out of the fact that nowadays women are young in their outlook and want to be fashionable but come to me because they simply cannot find what they want on the high street," said Yvonne. "Furthermore, they are definitely recognising the fact that couture is made to last because it is designed specifically to suit their figure and personality, hence the cost per wear makes it such a wise investment."

Bag a Makeover with Nicky Clarke and www.rockandsoulfashion.com!
We thought it was about time we raised our style game and go and get ourselves a fresh new look and so we thought who better to perform this mammoth task than the talented team at Nicky Clarke! Myself and Alex Leigh, creator of the Grooming Academy, both headed to the Manchester Nicky Clarke salon located in The Triangle for an afternoon of pampering. chopping, blowing and styling to bring ourselves right up to date with this seasons trends.
After entering the salon with a rather dismal looking, shoulder length, nondescript mop that even my Grandma would have thought boring, an hour later I left the salon a fully fledged rock chick sporting a choppy bob with flicks any superstar would have been proud of!!

The Face of Manchester Competition

Some of the countries biggest brands namely John Lewis, the MEN, Nicky Clarke, Nemesis model agency and Dutyfree Clothing all joined together to hold a competition to root out and crown the next 'Face of Manchester'. Hundreds of hopefuls all wanting to follow in the footsteps of supermodels Agyness Deyn and Karen Elson applied for the competition for a chance to win the coveted title and prizes such as a contract with Nemesis model agency, the chance to be the face of Dutyfree Clothing, a haircut from Nicky Clarke and a place on Alex Leighs Grooming Academy course. I was given the daunting job of sitting on the judging panel alongside celebs such as Nicky Clarke and owner of Nemesis model agency Sam Coulson at the grand finale catwalk show to undertake the amazingly difficult task of whittling down ten finalists to just one.
After an exceptional evening and hours of deliberating due to the high standard of the entrants we actually ended up with 2 finalists who were Sophie Robinson, a 24 year old barrister and Zak Lees a 19 year old student, both from Manchester. Congratulations to both and also to all of the other contestants that took part as they all did an amazing job.
