East Cheshire residents last chance today to register to have their Christmas tree taken away and recycled

East Cheshire residents are being reminded there’s still a last chance today to register to have their Christmas tree taken away and recycled – and it’s all for a good cause.

The Christmas Tree collection organised by East Cheshire Hospice is now in its 19th year and has already raised more than £900,000 towards running costs and vital work caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses.

More than 300 volunteers will collect trees to be turned into mulch from areas including Knutsford, Macclesfield, Poynton, Wilmslow and Alderely Edge this weekend in return for a donation to the charity.

Anyone wishing to have their tree collected must register before the end of today’s deadline on the East Cheshire Hospice website.
