One in six people with diabetes in South Manchester and the North West are discriminated against at work

One in six people with diabetes in South Manchester and the North West are discriminated against at work – that’s according to a leading charity.

Research from Diabetes UK has also found one third say that the condition causes them difficulty on the job.

The survey also found that 11 percent of respondants had not told their employer that they have the condition.

Diabetes UK hopes that the survey will start a conversation about long-term health conditions in the workplace.
