A total of £950,000 is being made available to clubs and organisations for young people in Greater Manchester.

The Youth Aspiration funding scheme awards sums of between five and thirty thousand pounds to projects designed to improve the lives of children and teenagers.

Police and Crime commissioner Tony Lloyd is backing the scheme which was first launched in 2014.

The Hub in Stockport is just one on the list to be funded this year. It provides activities to help divert youngsters away from ‘risky’ behaviour.
