Stockport Academy has been nominated for a prestigious national award

A Stockport school’s become the first in the town to be nominated for a prestigious national award.

Cheadle-Heath based Stockport Academy has been shortlisted for the Times Educational Supplement Secondary School of the Year award.

Proud Executive Principal Frank McCarron says it’s a testament to the hard work done by students and staff.

They’re one of just eight secondaries in the country to make it to the final. The winner will be announced on Friday 23rd June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
